EQUINE FACILITATED

HUMAN DEVELOPMENT

& LEARNING

Equine Therapy is an experiential therapy and involves participating in safe guided exercises on the ground with the horses, which can bring about significant personal growth and learning experiences. Horse experience is not required to participate in Equine Therapy. By working with the horse and facilitator you can experience the opportunity to recognise powerful influencing neurological signals of what you are ‘feeling’ which is often very different from what you are ‘thinking’.  This is the root cause of conflict in our lives. The horse at liberty will only freely connect with us when we learn to stay attuned to ourselves in the present moment and therefore mindful.  Working with the horse provides a safe space for you to explore and practice effective communication skills that will address your life needs whilst negotiating relationships and boundaries. Through a series of specially designed activities, you will deepen your awareness of personal issues, core feelings and areas of bodily tension that inhibit the ability to reach your true potential.
