About me

I have always had an affinity with nature and animals and horses have continued to be a passion for me.  Animals have often come into my life after they experienced trauma or negative interactions with humans.  These animals were often labelled ‘difficult’ and many had been passed on to several owners.  I felt I needed to help them, so my healing work started here. Animals are naturally intuitive and are very sensitive to the energies and emotions we have, both positive and negative. I believe we have a responsibility to provide as natural an environment as possible for our animals to live in and to understand the reasons for their behaviour.  Fortunately training methods and management have become more sensitive to animals’ needs over the last twenty years.  However, we are still learning and hopefully will continue to better understand our animals with compassion and patience. My working life with horses began as a British Horse Society riding instructor.  After several years teaching I started to look for a more natural and sympathetic way of training and riding and experienced several natural horsemanship methods with my own horse.  I have also studied equine behaviour which has enabled me to look at any issues from the horse’s perspective. I have worked with horse rescue centres and am a volunteer healer at The Harry Edwards Healing Centre in Shere, Surrey which offers healing to people and animals. I practice in Sussex as a healer and a facilitator for equine assisted personal development for horse owners.  I also offer pet loss and bereavement support. I am fully insured and have memberships with the following:- Crossfields Institute Level 5 Diploma in Equine Facilitated Human Development (VRQ) certificate (Cert. EFHD). Standards for Assisted & Facilitated Equine Professionals (SAFE Professionals). National Council of Psychotherapists. Full Healer of The Healing Trust (NFSH).
